Donovan is a 4-year-old, neutered male that was surrendered by his family. He was previously kept outside 24/7, regardless of the weather. In spite of this, Donovan is in good health, though a little under weight. He is up to date on shots, heartworm negative and on preventative. Donovan needs an experienced dog owner that knows the value of formal training and will take the time to turn him into the wonderful dog he was meant to be.

Donovan has been gaining weight and filling out. He still needs to put on some more weight, but he has a hearty appetite and will soon be at his ideal weight. He is learning house manners and loves being inside with people. He is very playful and enjoys toys of any kind, although stuffed toys don't last too long before they are destuffed. He enjoys sitting or laying beside you on the couch and watching tv, but would also enjoy long walks or jogs. Most of all he enjoys being with people.

Donovan is quite a jumper and will need a very tall, secure fence to keep him safe and a large yard to give him lots of room to exercise. He should not be in a home with cats--his foster mom does not think he would hurt a cat, but his facination with them is a handful to deal with! If you are looking for a Dal with good bloodlines, a wonderful temperment, high energy (will take calories off your waistline), and a great social guy who needs some training, then step up to the plate. Donovan wants his own home with you!!!
