Hi! My name is Misty. I'm just about to turn three, but I act more like a puppy. I enjoy running with the other dogs in the big yard, but I'm happy to snuggle quietly and get petted, too. I'm spayed, healthy, up to date on all my vaccines, and currently in an obedience class...where I'm doing very well.

I was found as a stray, so I don't come with any history, but I was tested for heartworms and didn't have any. I was positive for Lyme Disease, but I've been treated and feel much better now. I'm housebroken and I never chew on anything other than my bones, so I don't have to be crated when you are gone. It is safe to leave me loose in the house.

I'm gentle with children, get along with other dogs (large and small), but I don't think I have ever been close to a cat. I'm so relaxed around new things, that I would probably be fine once I got to know them. The great CCDAL folks have taken me to several big outdoor events where I was a wonderful "ambassador" for them. They gave me a pretty red coat to wear as we walked around, and I collected some donations for them. I loved all the people (big and little, old and young) and other dogs that I met there. All the activity made me tired enough to sleep quietly in the car on the way home .

Since I am young and need a lot of exercise, I'm looking for a home with an active family and maybe another dog to play with during the day. If you think I might fit in with your family, please submit an application form.
